Minister launches new DigiOps website

Mr Mallard said the site was an excellent way for schools participating in the project to share their knowledge, ideas and achievements.

"Far too often in New Zealand schools' we do some pretty neat things but we go to the next thing rather than share the information," he said.

DigiOps is a joint initiative between the Ministry of Education and business technology partners, and aims to create new learning opportunities through the innovative use of information and communication technology (ICT) in the classroom.

The Minister, a strong supporter of ICT in schools, launched the redesigned DigiOps website, which outlines the 12 projects getting underway round the country over the coming months. The website will keep people up-to-date with how the DigiOps projects are progressing and will also feature case studies from present and previous projects. News from overseas ICT projects will also be included on the site.
