Studyit takes out TUANZ Award
Congratulations to Studyit team at CWA New Media for their fantastic success at the TUANZ Awards recently. Studyit was awarded the top prize in the Education section (Primary and Secondary), beating off competition from a number of other finalists.
The criteria used to judge the entries included the uniqueness and originality of the concept, the extent to which the product or service addressed a learning problem, ease of use, the value in increasing uptake or the attractiveness of learning, and the extent to which achievement of these factors are demonstrated and delivered.
Judges commented in relation to the Studyit site that... "creativity is alive and well in our schools. Teaching and learning now extends well outside the classroom. The winner shows empathy with student learning, covering all aspects of their life experience and meeting the needs of young adolescent learners. Commitment from a wider range of mentors is acknowledged".
"The award is recognition of a tremendous team effort" said Studyit project manager, Ashley Blair. "We know it's working for the kids, but it's great to have the work acknowledged in such a public way".
